EVANCARE Swab Nasal Influenza Flu A/B Antigen Rapid Test One Step Saliva Antibody Rapid Test Kit
For professional and in vitro diagnostic use only.
[INTENDED USE]
The Influenza A+B Combo Rapid Test Cassette is a lateral flow
immunoassay intended for the qualitative detection of influenza A and
influenza B viral nucleoprotein antigens in nasopharyngeal swab and
oropharyngeal swab from individuals with signs and symptoms of
respiratory infection. It is intended to aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of
influenza A and B viral infections. The test is not intended to detect influenza
C antigens.
Positive results are indicative of active infection but do not rule out bacterial
infection or co-infection with other viruses; clinical correlation with patient
history and other diagnostic information is necessary to determine patient
infection status.
Negative test results are presumptive and it is recommended these results
be confirmed by viral culture or an influenza A and B molecular assay.
Negative results do not preclude influenza virus infections and should not be
used as the sole basis for treatment or other patient management decisions.
1.
Add 8 drops of buffer (approximately 0.5ml) into the extraction tube, and put it on the
workstation.
2.
Insert the swab into the extraction tube which contains 0.5ml buffer. Rotate the swab inside the
tube using a circular motion to roll the side of the extraction tube so that the solution is
expressed and reabsorbed from the swab. Leave the swab in the extraction tube for one minute.
3.
Pinch the extraction tube with fingers and remove the solution from the swab as far as possible.
The extracted solution will be used as test specimen.
4.
Insert a dropper tip into the specimen extraction tube tightly.
Allow the test device and specimens to equilibrate to room temperature (15-30ºC or 59-86ºF)prior to
testing.
1. Remove the test device from the sealed pouch.
2. Reverse the specimen extraction tube, Holding the specimen extraction tube upright, transfer 2 drops
(approximately 120μl) to the specimen well(S) of the test device, then start the timer. See illustration
below.
3. Wait for colored lines to appear. Interpret the test results in 15 minutes. Do not read results after 20
minutes.
